    Upgrade request - OrgID 00DE0000000deb4

    Question - we received notification via email to upgrade, but our C&P Settings -> About C&P Apps page doesn't show an upgrade available. So we might not need one. The Class Library in our Salesforce backend has 2/11/2021 as the release date, which isn't the same as your published release date for the Class library (3/16/2021) but it has the same version number. What explains the difference between the two dates, and what explains the fact that we received an email when we appear not to need an upgrade?

    If C&P Settings > About C&P Apps is showing as up-to-date, you are fine.

    The last email that was sent to users concerning updates was not working from the most recent data. We have found the issue, and resolved it, to avoid the issue in the future.

    The date for the Class Library package listed on the AppExchange is 3/5/2021, but it is the same version number as the one you'll see in your C&P Settings > C&P Apps. I'm not sure where you got 3/16/2021, could that have been the previous release date for PaaS? There is some delay between when we issue a release and when Salesforce approves it on the AppExchange - that may explain the difference.

        Thank you for bringing this up, because I see how the dates can be confusing.

        The 2/11/2021 date you see in C&P Settings > About C&P Apps is the date that the package was made available (call it the "package prepared"date)

        The 3/2/2021 date shown in the AppExchange is the date that Salesforce approved the app for release - once a package is submitted, it has to be reviewed, and that can take some time. It took longer than usual this past time as Salesforce completely restructured their process for submitting an app for security review.

        The 3/16/2021 date here in the forum for the release notes is the "announcement date". Generally this is would be when we start encouraging customers to upgrade. Due to changes with Salesforce Spring '21, there were significant, one-time post-installation changes, and we have been strongly encouraging users to upgrade ASAP since the Spring '21 release.

        You're right, this should not be so confusing, and I will bring this up for discussion internally.
