  • New Donations creating a Contact, but not an Organization (Account)

    We are using
    Click & Pledge Payment-as-a-Service
    version 4.32, with Non-profit Starter Pack.
    When we receive new donations, a contact is created (even if the contact already exists), and they are assigned to the organization "Individual".
    How do I change the settings to create an organization as well as a contact, and to search for existing contacts and organizations before creating new ones?

    Good day!

    Since you posted this to the Salesforce Event app, please let us know what version of the Event module you have installed.

    also: Contacts are identified as: First name, Last name, and Email. Email is the standard Email field in the contact record and does not use the Nonprofit Starter Pack emails added. It only uses the Work Email in addition to the Alternate Email as given by our PaaS app.

    If any of these fields don't match we create a new contact.

        You have the latest release.

        We have tested this many times and it all works as designed. The system follows the C&P Settings and assigns the Account accordingly.

        Please let our support department know when is a good time to contact you and screen share with you to see what is going on. It seems like you have other applications that are interfering or changing the behavior of our triggers.

        Do you have NPSP installed?

            C&P settings - this is one of the tabs.

            NPSP: Nonprofit Starter Pack

            I am also curious - I just talked with our CEO who is at the NTC conference & he told me he has talked to someone from your organization regarding this and that the issue was addressed. Are you still having a problem?

            The problem was that in the C&P Settings you had set Click & Pledge to behave a certain way which is not apparently the way you wish for it to behave.

            Do you still have this problem?
