Accidentally chose wrong contact to merge event attendee with

I have an event running and a new attendee and donor got stuck in temporary contacts. His name is Rick and his sons name is Rich. I accidentally merged his temporary contact to his sons record instead of his. I assume his son has received his receipt. How can I correct this mess? I changed the opportunity and edited the C&P Transaction but the wrong contact is still shown in the event. Also, how do I send the email receipt to the correct person?

The Event name is 2023 Golf Tournament, and the order numbers are 34999-2305031137116389949 and 34999-2305031137116389949.
The person that was charged (the son) is Rich Donoghue and the person that should be charged is Rick Donoghue.
I have spoken with him and sent him the requested corrected donation letter so best not to send him anything else.

We have changed the Contact of the Registrant from Rich Donoghue to Rick Donoghue in Events. Since it is an anonymous Event there is no contact associated with Attendee.
