duplicate states or regions for some countries, not others, in dropdown menus

Hi! This is not a functional problem, but in case it indicates something that needs fixing, thought I would report it.

In our event registration forms, some of the state/region dropdown menus show each state or region twice (for example, India, Latvia, Republic of Korea - but others display normally with just one state/region (for example, Mexico, Italy, Tanzania).

May I ask you to sync Countries and States at C&P Settings> Countries & States?

Thanks - I tried this and some states are still appearing twice (e.g., India).

Also, in case this is helpful - with India, the doubling of states is happening with the event registration form (iFramed on our Wordpress site), but not in the checkout menu for management (managed by the C&P plugin for PaidMembershipsPro for Wordpress).
