  • C&P Event Listings - Page Banner Section has no Editor Area

Hi, when I try to set up an event listing under the C&P Event Listing tab, there is no 'editing menu area' that allows me to upload a banner image. I see from the user manual that there should be some sort of 'WYSIWYG' type editing menu. Please help me to fix this.

I do not see this on my C&P Event Listing Page when trying to create a new event listing:

    Hi Neely,
when you click on the new button under C&P Event Listing, 4th item on the page, called "Page Banner", has an editor that allows you to upload a banner image. Click on the image icon in the editor and you can upload your image.

      Neely,

What version of the Event Management application do you have installed?

The editor you speak of is not there. That is my problem. I just have a text box. I have C&P Events ver. 1.23.

        Thanks,
        Neely

Yes, I know what it should look like. My point is that there is NO editor on my page. I just have a text box. Also, I just upgraded to C&P Events ver. 1.24 and I still have the same problem. Let me know if you'd like to take a look yourself.

This is what my Event Listing page looks like:

                  This is quite strange.

We just tested this with Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera and Safari on both Mac and PC (Windows 7 - 64 bit and 32 bit) and have no issues. The editor is working fine.

If we disable JavaScript then the editor won't show. Is JS enabled for your browser?

Hmmm, how do I check to see if JS is enabled or disabled?

                    Thanks.

                      Neely,

                      For Firefox: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/JavaScript

Can you test it with Chrome?

Do you have another computer to test?

We like to find out what is going on since we can't duplicate this on any computer, Windows, Linux, or Mac with any browser except when JS is disabled.

At times I have also seen certain anti-virus programs block certain JavaScript codes.
                      Regards,

Wow, this is weird. I made sure JavaScript was enabled in both IE and FFox and tested it in Chrome and I still get the C&P Events listing page coming up without an editing menu. Can you log into my instance of Salesforce to get a closer look?

                          Neely,

can you temporarily disable your anti-virus or firewall .. I want to see if JS is being blocked by your Firewall if it is enabled in the Windows Control Panel.
                          Regards,

Hi, I disabled the anti-virus and the firewall, logged out and back into SF and I still get the same thing. Could it be a problem with my page layout or permissions?

                              Neely,

Please send an email to [email protected] requesting an account check.

They will send you a UserID that you can add to your Salesforce account with admin rights so we can login and test the account. Naturally there is something peculiar to your account and hopefully we can find it.
