  • Not receiving temporary contact notifications

    I've triple-checked that our Notifications in C&P Settings are configured to send an email for Temporary Contacts, but I'm not always receiving those notifications. The most recent example was a temporary contact who was the attendee in an event registration. Generally, it seems like I receive notification for most temp contacts, but there are often 1 in 8 or so that I don't get a notification for. Is this a known issue, or is there something else we need to configure, or..?

    Let me know if you'd like to go in and look, I'll grant access, etc.

    Please note that for Attendees it won't send the Temporary Contact Notification email. You will receive for Registrant only. However, if you are not receiving for few of the Registrants, then might be per day limit exceeded. Please note that it uses the Salesforce single email service and it has a limit of 100 emails per day. Please check whether the limit was exceeded on that day? which resulted in no notification email.

      Thanks. That was the only temporary contact that day, so it wasn't the email limit. The registrant matched an existing contact, so no temporary contact was created for them. I've set up a report of Event Attendees and temporary contacts and subscribed to it, so that should help me catch any of those.
