Overbooking an event

We have a registration that only had an inventory of 18. One person was able to register 10 people which caused the event to be overbooked by 2. My inventory is showing as -2. I set the registration timeout to 0 so that no inventory was being held. Is there some way to avoid this? I've never had a registration go through when there was not enough inventory.

The event is called "PTC TOF 09_27-21"

I've given access and org ID is 00DG0000000h7RM.

Please note that a timeout of zero will not block the inventoryand the same has been mentioned on the Basic Information page of the Event. Please see:



To avoid this issue, you will need to set the time (not zero) to block the inventory until the registrant registers the attendees for that particular session.

Ah ok, so even if someone is registering a group. Once they hit the limit of available inventory, then it won't let them register anyone else?
