  • Auth Required/ Unable to assign permission

    Hello,

We have been getting the Authorization Required error. And I followed the steps listed here: https://clickandpledgehelp.force.com...Setting_Errors

But I got stuck on assigning the permission sets to the site guest user. The following errors appeared:
    • Can't assign permission set PS-CnP-PaaS-ONLY-SiteGuestUser to user Events Site Guest User. The user license doesn't allow the permission: Edit C&P Autoresponder
    • Can't assign permission set PS-CnP-Event-ONLY-SiteGuestUser to user Events Site Guest User. The user license doesn't allow the permission: Read All C&P Event Email Level Junction Object
Should I skip that step and then come back to it after I've finished the rest of the steps?

Anyways, I've granted login access for one week. Our Salesforce ID is 00DA0000000IGMz

    Thanks

    OLukeHCLT,

The Site Guest user is being phased out by Salesforce. We are still adding the permission sets; however, they will be phasing out entirely.
I have run into these errors with assigning the permission sets to the Site Guest User when the sharing rules have not finished being applied.

I checked your instance, and you were still on the April release from last year. May we upgrade your instance to the current release?

        Good day @OLukeHCLT

We have upgraded your Salesforce instances as requested.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: It is IMPORTANT that you re-establish connection to Salesforce. The connected user must have access to various objects and the following access levels:
        • Be an administrator
        • Have the following permission sets assigned:
          • PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY
          • PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY (If the event is installed)
The following KB articles may be of help:

        Establish connection with Salesforce: http://cnp.ooo/Salesforce-Connection
        Latest Release notes: http://cnp.ooo/SF-ReleaseNotes
You may also join our Power of Us Hub: http://cnp.ooo/PoU-Hub

        PLEASE NOTE:

1- Your account may show that it is already connected, but this does not mean the new fields have posted to Salesforce. Please “DISCONNECT” and click on “CONNECT” again to establish connection.

2- If you make any changes to the information on this page, you will see an “UPDATE /VERIFY” button instead of Connect. Click on the Update/Verify button to re-establish connection.

As part of this upgrade we have performed the following tasks:
        • Installed the latest updates of Click & Pledge’s Salesforce applications
        • Performed the post-installation steps
        • Reviewed the existing connected user’s profile and ensured the following permission sets are assigned to the existing connected user:
          • PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY
          • PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY
If you change the connected user please make sure the above permission sets are assigned to the new user.

We love to hear from you
