  • Campaign Circular Dependency Error

    I am just now starting to get this error when processing a temporary contact for event registration.

    I have the Event campaign and individual levels set to the same campaign (2020 Golf Campaign). This is how I've had it set up in previous years.

    Can you help?

      Please try to reprocess the temp contact now and let us know if that doesn't work? Also, please share the order number as well as the ContactID you would like to merge with.

        It's getting the same error.

        Order number 36816-2008031317137076002

        There are 3 temp contacts that will be new to the system. No merging. ID TC-3977, TC-3978, and TC-3979.

            I've noticed that when it auto-matches contacts without creating a temp contact, it works fine. It just doesn't allow temp contacts to be processed.

                    Good day @cbarton

                    We are looking into the issue and while debugging it we are getting CPU limit exceeded error due to you have 200+ contact custom fields and 150+ account custom fields which are resulting in CPU LIMIT exceeded.

                    In order to investigate further, first, we need to overcome with CPU limit issue. In our upcoming release, we are handling the CPU Limit issue and we do have BETA ready for it. If you allow us we will upgrade your instance with BETA (stable) release and continue the investigation.

                          Good day @cbarton

                          We reviewed and found that you have enabled the role Campaign and in this case, we assign the Level Campaign to the Role Campaign. Since the Event and Level campaign are the same it is throwing an error because already Event Campaign is the opportunity Campaign.

                          In order to fix it, you need to change the Event or Level Campaign to different campaigns or change the C&P Settings >> Opportunity creation:

                          Regarding CPU limit issue, it is due to the CFL app in your instance which does have trigger on the Contact object. You need to check the settings.

                            Sorry, I'm a little confused. I've had the Event and Level Campaigns the same every year; I'm not sure what I'm doing differently. What exactly do I fix under C&P Settings if I want to keep both the same?

                              All you need to do is to delete the condition of Any Non-Blank SKU OR uncheck the box for "Use Transaction Campaign" OR specify any other Campaign.
