  • Unable to Preview Anything within Salesforce (Sandbox)

I am attempting to build a demonstration for Event Management. I've been able to create the event, fields, etc. However, I don't seem to have the ability to preview any of them. I've been trying to find resources online to assist me with resolving this, however I'm having a hard time finding anything accurate. I'm unsure how to resolve this, and feel this is a very important feature.

I've granted access to the Org for 1 week.

    Thank you,

    You could try here:

    Or Here:

Or the 'View' buttons in similar locations for:
    • Discount Plans
    • Messages
    • Form Fields (on this screen, the button is further down the page.

Under the Designer, you can preview the Event Registration form with the designs you create to go around your Registration Form.

And in Registration Sites, you have a similar way to Preview your different event pages, with a similar 'eye' icon to preview.

There are quite a few ways to 'Publish' the event, I will review the documentation to see if we can improve on providing these different publish options.

Essentially, you are 'building the registration form' with Basic Information, Additional Information, Discount Plans, and Form Builder.
You can access the embed code for just the Registration Form under Basic Information.

But you can also build a frame to go around your Registration Form, and include fields from the Event information, like Start Date and Description.

Or you can have groups of levels that are published on different pages - these are Registration Sites. Useful if you want your Sponsor Levels on a different page from your Guest ticket levels.

    Does that help?

It is a permission issue for site guest user. We have fixed it and it is working now.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Sure. Event Management uses a feature of Salesforce called Salesforce Sites to host your event page, so you have to grant access to the site user to read and create records. We add these rights to that user with permission sets.

And once in the Site Guest User detail, you can add the permission sets:

This is typically part of the process that we do as a complimentary service when you request post-installation in 'Salesforce Upgrade Assistance'

The permission sets cover the permissions needed to access the objects for Event Management.

I didn't personally update your instance (it was another staff moderator), but this is the location where you access the permissions for the Site Guest Users' Profile and to assign permission sets.
