  • Errors trying to process C&P temporary contacts queue

    Hi there - we are seeing the following errors when trying to process temporary contacts:

    1.)
    Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: DUPLICATES_DETECTED, Use one of these records?: []
    Error is in expression '{!SaveItem}' in component <apex:commandButton> in page cnp_paas_evt:eventtemporarycontact: (CnP_PaaS_EVT)
    An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_PaaS_EVT)

    and

    2.) Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION, field integrity exception (Guest users cannot be record owners.): []--null--124--(CnP_PaaS) --System.DmlException

    Could you please let us know why this is occuring (it doesn't happen consistently, many recent transactions have posted and contacts were created just fine).

    Salesforce ORG ID is 00D2E0000012rpR and access has been granted for the next 3 days

    We just reviewed your instance and noticed that the "Default Record Owner" user i.e BackOffice Thinking is inactive and because of that we unable to fix the error. Would you please reactive the user or assign any other active user so we can review and fix it?

    Regarding the Duplicate error, we found that you have duplicate rules for contacts which might be causing an issue. Would you please review the contact rules you have created.

      We've updated the Default Record Owner to an active user (Integration user). Thanks for pointing that out.

      As far as the duplicate error goes, are you saying that there can be one and only one duplicate rule for the contact object or we'll run into this error? Any further explanation would be most helpful and thanks in advance.

        And a further note - even though I've updated the default record owner (and the "new" default record owner, Integration User is showing as the owner of the temporary contact now), I'm still getting the (Guest users cannot be record owners.) error message when I try to merge the temporary contact with an existing contact.

          We have fixed the issue for Default Record Owner. Regarding the duplicate rule, there are 5 duplicate rules you have on contact object and one or more of your duplicate rules is causing an issue. You need to review or deactivate the duplicate rules you have and try to process the temp contact.

          However, if you share the order number and the ContactID you would like to merge with so that we can see which of the duplicate rule is causing an issue.

            I'm still seeing issues with the Default Record Owner trying to process C&P Temporary Contacts - take Kimberly Rogers for example. Her Order ID is 60289-200625182925133 and her contact ID we are trying to merge is 0032E00002YNI4tQAH. Another example is Michael Strugar - Order ID is 60289-200626150059528 and contact ID in SF we are trying to merge with is 0032E00002YNH5pQAH

            When you say you have fixed the issue for Default Record Owner - what did you do to "fix"?

            As far as the duplicate contact issue goes, we created a new duplicate rule yesterday dedicated to C&P. The other 4 contact dedupe rules all have a condition that the Created by user is *not equal* to Integration User, which is the user C&P specifies as the default Created by User. An example you can try to use for the Duplicate Rule issue is Sandra Smith - order number 60289-200709180048257 and we are trying add her as a new contact

              The first two order numbers you mentioned are processed with the old version of our app which doesn't support the following feature of Spring 20: "Assign new records created by Salesforce Sites guest users to a default owner in the org"

              Moving forward you won't see the site guest user issue for future transactions. For the old transactions, if you see the error, please share the order number so that we can fix it. It is an internal process and fixes by our developers.

              Regarding the duplicate rule error, it looks like the following duplicate rule is causing an issue: https://ccalt.my.salesforce.com/0Bm2...DuplicateRules

              We have deactivated the above rule and able to successfully processed the temp contact.

                Thanks. Its still not clear why the Duplicate rule you disabled was causing a problem, as there is a condition that specifies that the Created by user is *not equal* to the Integration user. Could you please explain?

                Also, the following orders are unable to be processed because they were processed with the older version, could you please resolve for us? Thanks!

                  You are trying to process the temp contact from integration user and your duplicate rules say that not equal to integration user.
