  • Email resend issue

    HI

    My initial goal was to figure out how to resend an email ( if we had a bad link, for instance). I figured that if I cloned an email, set it to send immediately and then went into the relevant attendee, I could send it to a particular person.

    I was testing a Registration email in the Event Manager. I was able to send it to myself. I cloned an email.

    I tried logging in as another SalesForce user (Gaia) in another timezone and was not able to send email as her. I tried sending from either the Registration Email itself or as the attendee. The cloned email would not send. However, when I logged back in as myself, the email fired off. This happened repeatedly - no email send until I had logged our as that user and then logged back in as an admin.

    The second user permissions sets are:

    PS-CnP-Event-All-Permissions
    PS-CnP-Event-ONLY-Reports
    PS-CnP-PaaS-Event-SetUp
    PS-CnP-PaaS-ONLY-TemporaryContact

    We tried to send an email when logged in as Gaia during live support it has not shown up 30 min later - either in email or the email logs.

    C&P has access to my account. Gaia does not have the ability to grant access to her account.

    The event is "LMLY - Test" and it only has 1 registered user in it - order number 35724-200625001439787

    Along with above permission sets, please include the following permission sets to that respective user:

    PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY
    PS-CnP-PaaS-All-Permissions

    Please note that in the presence of PaaS All and Event All permission sets you don't need to add PS-CnP-Event-ONLY-Reports and PS-CnP-PaaS-Event-SetUp.

    Please add the above permissions sets and let us know if that didn't resolve the issue.

      Hi;

      As instructed, I am letting you know it didn't resolve the issue.

      I added both permission sets (but did not delete PS-CnP-Event-ONLY-Reports and PS-CnP-PaaS-Event-SetUp. I logged into SalesForce as Gaia. I verified that the confirmation-30 email had not been sent - anywhere I looked. I went to Registration - Attendee - hit send email - nothing.

      I then logged out as Gaia, did the same thing from my login and the emails went out.
      I then removed PS-CnP-Event-ONLY-Reports and PS-CnP-PaaS-Event-SetUp from her account and repeated the process of trying to send from Gaia's account - nothing sent.

        Strange! Would you please create a user for us and assign the respective profile so that we can login and review the issue?

                    Bob,

                    We found that instead of the PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY you have assigned PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY

                    However, we have assigned the following permission set to the user you have set for us and it works.

                    PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY

                    Could you please assign same permission to gaia and let us know if that doesn't work?

                      I made the change and it seems to be working now for Gaia. Do I need to keep PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY for any reason?

                        It is for the user who has used their login for integration between Click & Pledge Account and your Salesforce instance.
