  • Online meeting host wants attendee list

    Hi

I am setting up an online event. The person hosting the event would like to get a list of attendees just before the event starts. The only way I can see to do anything like this would be to install the Swiper1 app on a phone and have them checkin people in that way by comparing the names on the app against the names in the meeting room. Is there a way to either generate an attendee list and send it to them or checkin via web interface?

I have seen customers manage this by setting the registrations to end a certain period of time before the event to allow the time to manually send a report to have on hand when the event starts.

Swiper1 is an option, but also has to accomodate 'instants' in time - Swiper1 must sync with Events every time it needs the latest information, so if you sync Swiper1 15 minutes before the event, and someone registers 5 minutes before, Swiper1 would not be aware of this change unless it is synced again less than 5 minutes prior to the event.

Sometimes simple is best - setting a time block prior to the event where the information can't change is probably the least problematic.

The online event hosts are separate from the office staff and do not have saleforce accounts. Manually sending reports is out because of the non-overlap of time and access. Syncing Swiper1 some short period of time before the event might be easiest way to automate. Otherwise I might have to build something in a SalesForce site.

        Bob,

I think your resolution ended up involving some Salesforce customization where the Event Id was passed to the report as a parameter, and then making that report accessible in your Salesforce Community.
Glad I could get you pointed in the right direction to get that done in our Live Support!
