  • Opportunity is being created in C&P for Salesforce

    We are having trouble with C&P creating opportunities in Salesforce correctly.

    The specific order number as an example is 60493-2002051330521007176.

        Hi Dawn,

        You have some settings in your Event Management that need to be changed. Under Additional Information, you have mapped your Opportunity fields to fields that will break the way that an event transaction is intended to process into Salesforce

        Please change these fields back to '-Select-' or create a custom field on Opportunities to hold the value.

        Essentially what you're telling the system to do here is to:
        • assign the opportunity for the ticket to the Attendee instead of the Registrant- which will mess up your rollups
        • set the amount on the opportunity to the total amount charged, rather than the price of the ticket
        • change the quantity on the ticket to the total number of attendees.
        Each of your Opportunities are supposed to represent a single ticket, and you are setting values to make it represent the transaction- which will mess up your data. Opportunity Mapping here is supposed to allow you to map values to custom Opportunity fields for reference only.

        I'm still not sure why there was no Order Number on your transaction other than it might have gotten deleted when someone was trying to clean things up.

          Should I change the "Attendee Contact" back to be "Select" too? or is that ok the way it is with pointing it to Primary Contact?

            Yes, you need to change it to select, if you want to map attendee contact in opportunity field.
