  • Opportunities are not in correct campaign

The opportunities created by event registrations are not in the Salesforce Campaign which I entered on the Additional Information tab of Event Management. Instead, the Opportunity is listed as Primary Campaign Source: Click & Pledge Online Payments. However, in Temporary Contacts, the Campaign is listed correctly.

    Please help.

Order number: 32430-1908302303166894486. On the Transaction Detail page, the Campaign is correct but the Opportunity's campaign is incorrect. It also should be coming in as Record Type: Fee for Service, but it is coming in as a Donation instead. Thank you for your help.

Ok, we have re-posted the transaction and it works as expected. It looks like at the time of that transaction processed, the settings were not the same as it is now.

Regarding the Record Type, you have set to assign the record type on the following condition:

Name:	Record Type.jpg
Views:	12
Size:	42.7 KB
ID:	48877

But there is NO tracker with the above transaction:

Please note that there is NO tracker for individual Events but if you do transaction from through Event Listing Sites, there you may set the Trackers for the Events. However, we reviewed and found that the Event in the question is NOT listed in the Event Listing Sites.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I just processed two other transactions and it did populate the Campaign correctly. It was correct on the transaction page, but did not appear on the Opportunity. Here is one Opportunity which processed: https://na103.lightning.force.com/li...0fnLVRAA2/view and here is one that I manually change to the proper campaign: https://na103.lightning.force.com/li...0fnLUEAA2/view. Please advise. I have a workflow that changes the record type based on the Campaign, so once the Campaign is populated, everything will be fixed. Please help me get the Campaign on the Opportunity!

Since it is not a Primary Campaign Source it won't appear on the opportunity. Only Primary Campaign Source will update on the opportunity. However, if you would like the Transaction Campaign to be Primary Campaign Source, you may do that in C&P Settings >> Opportunity >> Primary Campaign Source, here you can set the SKU condition with checked the following box: "Use Transaction Campaign"

You can't use an SKU for an Event, so I'm not sure how this helps me. I tried it anyway and it did not work.

When I enter the Transaction Campaign in Event Management, I choose a Salesforce Primary Campaign Source (see screen shot attached). So these should be linked, correct? What exactly is a Transaction Campaign - it is not listed as an Object in Salesforce.

How do I link an Event to a Primary Campaign source so that any Opportunity created through the Event is automatically added the the Primary Campaign in Salesforce?

In this case, you need to set the following condition: Any Or Blank SKU: and check the box for "Use Transaction Campaign". Basically, in events, the level campaign will consider as Primary Campaign Source but based on the above settings, it will assign the Event Transaction Campaign as Primary Campaign Source.
