  • Auction Event in one day (Tuesday night this week) - Salesforce Auctions

Hi, I set up Salesforce for Auctions after tickets were sold. I would like your help making sure that Auctions for Salesforce is set up properly for our event in a day or so. (I would do live help usually, but Amanda is out this week.) This is for SFDC org 00D36000000ZEVP and you have been granted access. The auction is "TEN-Forward Auction" https://na81.salesforce.com/a2j1Q000001yITf and the C&P event is "TEN-Forward". All of the people that have already registered are in the following campaign: https://na81.salesforce.com/7011Q0000013QCX, which isn't tied to the "TEN-Forward Auction" or its opportunities yet. Can you please help me? I followed the instructions here: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...ticles/2100684 but am afraid this is my first time doing an auction and I really need help making sure it is all set up on the backend properly.

Also, I tested an Auction Check Out. Could you please help me look at transaction 38676-1907010623558011519 ? Does it look like everything is set up right?

I see also that [email protected] doesn't have permission to access parts of the Salesforce for Auctions app. If you have any tips, it is much appreciated as I would like to refrain from giving sys admin access to volunteers, but that is the only option at this point without direction. Thanks for any tips.

We have reviewed all of your Auction settings and all seems good. We did a couple of test transactions to make sure it is working and then removed all footprints of test transactions.

We noticed that you have added the parameters to the Auction settings which resulting NO opportunity creation. However, we have changed that parameter from 0 to 1 to create the opportunity.

Regarding the permissions, that is something you need to contact SF support.

Great, thank you. I am really grateful for your quick help. Last, do you have any tips regarding Salesforce permissions for other users? See pic. I am trying to easily give the proper access to [email protected]

Can anyone help me add ticket holders that signed up prior to the new Salesforce for Auctions campaign? The event is tomorrow and I urgently need help doing it/understanding how to do it in a clean way.

Since you have registered the tickets before the Auction integration you will need to import the attendees to the auctions from Salesforce.

Please review the following KB article which will walk you through the process: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...ticles/2078101

Please note that you will need to edit the opportunities and make the following changes:

Primary Campaign Source = TEN-Forward Tickets
Opportunity Record Type = GW Auction Ticket

Opportunity Record Type = GW Auction Ticket

With this change, you will see the Opportunities under the tickets tab.

Regarding the permissions, we suggest you post it to Power of US HUB by tagging Auctions for Salesforce group: https://powerofus.force.com/s/group/...salesforce-app

                    Hi aggregatespace ,

Per our discussion in Live Support, I reassociated the Auction Purchases created by ASF with the C&P transaction that accounted for them and deleted the duplicate records created by the eVT. I did find a couple of oddities with J Pieper and S Asgary that you may want to join Live Support again to review. I also updated the stages on some of them from "Pledged" to "Closed Won- not thanked" which is what the ASF app would normally do, because clearly there was a matching eVT transaction. This typically happens if the user forgets to click the button on Stage 3 of checkout to "Update Opportunities". But some of the others were already marked "Closed Won", so perhaps you didn't intend to use "Closed Won - not thanked". If so, you can review those Opportunities in the Auction Purchase Report.

Other than those two attendees, you should be set. I will email you a link to the video that shows how I went about re-associating the duplicates.

                    ~ Amanda
