  • Opportunity Amount 0

    We have an event where we offer discounts. After configuring C&P Settings -> Opportunity -> Opportunity / Product Amount -> [Gross Amount] - [Discount]
    We were expecting to have opportunities with Amount = (Gross Amount - Discount). However, all the opportunities are being created with Amount = 0, or at least there is something changing that amount (See Stage History at the Opportunity Level)

    Good day @Lhotse

    The reason is SF standard fields used at Opportunity/ Opportunity Products mapping under Events which is causing the issue with $0 opportunity as well as you see the change in the stage.

    You will need to create custom fields for Opportunity/Opportunity Products: Setup >> "Opportunity" - "Opportunity Product" >> Fields >> you need to create custom Fields for the amount and map that field here:

      Hi,

      I went to Salesforce/Setup/Opportunity Settings and checked Prompt users to add products to opportunities

      But I don't know where to create the fields that you show in this image. Is that in Salesforce Setup? Do I have to create the fields in the Opportunity Object? Or do I have to create that somewhere in Click and Pledge Setup?




      I have never worked with products before and I noticed that this changed too, and I need to keep my SKU = DON as record type donations and my SKU = CON as record type Event. Now it is asking for a "WID" when I create a new opportunity and I don't know what that means.

        We didn't ask you to enable the Opportunity Product. If you are not using the opportunity product then you need to create custom fields for Opportunity and map in the Event.

          I have followed the steps, but now the Opportunity is not being created at all.

            Nevermind, I think I just needed a little bit more patience. It looks like it is working fine now.

              One more thing. How can I update the previous opportunities that had "0" Amount?

                Simply you need to re-post the data. Search for the transaction Order Number in your Salesforce instance and open the C&P Data, there you will find the Repost button.
