  • Event Management level fees showing wrong in Salesforce with remaining balances due

Hi! Can you please help me figure out what I have done wrong in my Event or C&P Settings that would cause this to happen?

We have an active event and everything seems to be going fine except that when I went to pull a donations report for bookkeeping I saw that all the purchases had remaining balances showing which should not be the case. These are all paid in full at the time of purchase. What I noticed from looking at the report is that while the "Amount Paid" column is correct, the "Amount" column is not. I'm attaching a screenshot to help illustrate what I'm trying to describe.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not, but I am using one SKU on the level items and a different SKU for the Additional Fee option. I admit that I am still a bit confused by SKUs but they don't appear to have any bearing on this particular report.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

    Good day @Arydiel

Sorry but the image you have provided is PNG and this forum does not show it in full scale. I only see a thumbnail. Would you please post this as a JPG so we can review?

However, if you please grant us access and share the Event Name and the report link from where you have pulled it so that we can review it.

        Good day @Arydiel

We just reviewed and noticed that we don't have access to your instance.

However, did you checked the C&P Events Dashboard reports?

          Hi,

I'm not sure why you don't have access. I gave 30-day access to Click & Pledge support (see attached). Am I missing something?

By C&P Events Dashboard, do you mean the C&P Event Management app itself? I am aware that I can pull attendee reports for specific campaigns there, but don't see anything that will help my bookkeeper.

I have also looked at the C&P Reports app in the Salesforce App Launcher and can't make heads or tails of it. Under the Reports tab, I have clicked on several reports and there are no records found. I tried to create a custom report but also can't make that do anything.

          My goals are:
To have a report for my bookkeeper that shows all transactions by SKU
To be able to look at Salesforce Opportunity Reports that don't show incorrect remaining balances.

          Thanks again for your help.

            Good day @Arydiel

Maybe I am looking into the wrong OrgID?

Would you please share your Salesforce instance Organization ID so that we can locate your instance and review the case?

Yeah, that's a different account. The one we're talking about is:

                Good day @Arydiel

We reviewed the report you have shared and noticed that the report includes the fields which are calculating the amount per opportunity which is the reason you see the remaining balance.

                Please see:

As you can see in the attached screenshot, those three highlighted opportunities belong to one transaction. Since there are two items as well as additional donation, it creates three opportunities in Salesforce.

Hope you see the point. However, we have created a custom report, please review it, it may help you.

I want to thank you very much for your help. The custom report you created wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it helped me with my understanding and I was able to edit yours and get the data I needed for the client. We can close this ticket now.
