  • Temporary Contacts - how to delete TC

    How can I delete Temporary Contacts from past events? I populate Guest 2, Guest 3, Guest 4, etc for each table sold. But never come back to those to add real guest names. Now they need to be deleted and not create a record in Salesforce. Attached is a view of what I'm speaking of. Unfortunately, I have an event this Thursday. And all of these TC are marked as 10/5/2018, which is the date of the recently installed upgrade. There are 1062 TC to delete (Showing 1 to 25 of 1,062 entries) most from past years. After Thursday I can remove them all.

    I have granted C&P 1 week access.

    Do you want to delete all of those temporary contacts? I see it is now "1,064 entries". Let us know if you want us to delete all of them, our developers can do that through code.

      Yes, delete all of them but not until this Friday morning.

      So in the future, is there any way of registering a table of 10 without guest names that would not create so many TC's? We only use C&P to sell seats and tables.

        Sure, we will delete those after you notify us here to do it.

        However, you may use Anonymous Event instead of Named Event. We have two types of events, Named and Anonymous (The type of event can be select under Basic Information section). The major change between these two types of events falls on contacts. To book a ticket for a named event, the registrant should provide the details of every attendee (first name, last name.. etc). Whereas for an anonymous event, the registrant can book a number of tickets. There is no need to give the attendee details and NO temp contact will be created for attendees.
