Matched Contacts Produce No Opportunity upon Repost because Campaign was missing

Amanda, I think I understand why no opportunities were posted. I only had produce opportunities for BILL ME and these are CHECKS. I'll try reposting and let you know. Thanks

I tried reposting a CHECK matched contact and it didn't create an opportunity. I also noticed that campaign wasn't listed on the new transaction.

Hi, Amanda. My repost test produced this error message. It appears you can't just repost and pick up the campaign. probably need to modify the XML.

"Upsert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION, Primary Campaign Source is required.: [CampaignId]"

You are not creating Opportunities for CHECK because your C&P Settings are:



So you are creating Opportunities when they have a custom payment type of " CHECK", not "CHECK". I modified this and tested with order number 50661-180907164235356, and the Opportunity was created appropriately.




I will report this so the Developers can add code to strip any space characters from the front and end of the string, but for now I have left the change I made to your settings, and your reposts should start creating Opportunities (as long as they have a Campaign- you may end up cursing the day you decided to add that validation)

I checked with our team and in version 10, scheduled to be release Q1 2019, you would add these custom payment types individually, rather than entering in a text area separated by semi-colons. Under this situaton, there should be no misunderstanding with extra spaces.

Ha! Did you hear my palm hit my forehead? I do regret making campaign required but it would be chaos for posting pledges without it.

So the issue still remains that we can't repost a trans that was entered before the campaign was added to the event. Right? Is my only recourse to delete and reenter the trans?
