  • C&P Data Posting to Salesforce but Opportunities aren't being created

    Hey,

    I need some help. Recently, we've been experiencing difficulty with our Salesforce-Click and Pledge integration.

    When donations are made via our click and pledge donation form, all the information is stored correctly in Connect and the information is posted to Salesforce via the C&P Data object. However, opportunities are inconsistently being created. I can't figure out a definite pattern, it seems random which transactions are creating opportunities in Salesforce and which aren't. Prior to 5/15/2018 everything was working 100% correctly. Unsure what to do. Help would be appreciated!

    A related issue that maybe you should be aware of, is that I receive an error message when I try to grant click and pledge support access to our Salesforce org. I don't think this is related to the issue stated above, but maybe? I notified Salesforce support of the issue with granting access and will hopefully be able to give you access to our org soon. Our org ID is 00Dd0000000gsEP.

      Access has been granted.

      Order numbers:

      30231-1805151321422341011 (from 5/15. I went into C&P Data in Salesforce and reposted, which successfully created an opportunity)
      30231-1805151608586696619 (from 5/15. I went into C&P Data in Salesforce and reposted, which successfully created an opportunity)
      30231-1805181831491161113 (have not reposted yet)

        Based on the current settings, it will create the opportunity. We have reposted and it created the opportunity based on the current settings. It seems that the settings were not the same at the time of above transactions processed.

        However, moving forward based on current settings if you find any issues with opportunity creation then please let us know.

          Hi again,

          The same issue is occurring once again. I have not changed any settings. All gifts made online should create opportunities in Salesforce. However, seemingly at random, some gifts do not create opportunities (as described in m post above). Please take a look and see if you can figure out what is going on.

          The following gift is being posted to Salesforce (found in C&P Data) but an opportunity hasn't been created:
          a190W000009CFmn 30231-1806101645382612256
          Our Org ID is 00Dd0000000gsEP and I've granted you login access.

          Let me know if you need anything else.

            It looks like another gift didn't create an opportunity:
            a190W000009CF9G 30231-1806091016374747102

            We know how to repost these, so that an opportunity is created,, but it'd be ideal if we could figure out exactly what's going on and fix it, so opportunities are created automatically and we don't have to double check salesforce and click and pledge. It's really not ideal to have to double check a supposedly automatic process.

              We reviewed and found that the user who processed temp contact for above order numbers doesn't have permission over opportunity object which is the reason opportunity is not creating.

                    Those order numbers still in Temp contacts and until you process from their the opportunity or transaction record will not create. Please process those from temp contacts.
