  • Test Transaction in Swiper

    I am testing transactions through the Swiper for our upcoming luncheon. For these types of opportunities, we use Salesforce Auctions to make an Auction item, then make a SKU for each item, and then put the items into the Swiper1 app. We have done this multiple times with multiple events and the SKUs seem to work. This time, I included a "donation" item that has a fill-in amount. It is a "donation" auction item in Salesforce Auctions, has a SKU (dona-18HL), and has been entered into the Swiper1.
    Unfortunately, the donation item SKU doesn't seem to be working and has been placed into an "Unrestricted Fund" on the opportunity while the other 2 items and opportunities have correctly been placed in the correct "Primary Fund", correct "Campaign Source", and correct "Event ID".

    We reviewed and found that there is NO SKU assigned to that item:

      The SKU HAS been assigned and mapped correctly for all items that have been put into the Swiper. After testing all item SKUs through both the VT and the Swiper app, there seems to be an issue with the Swiper app for all items that are set up to be fill-in amounts. ALL of the items that are set up with a predetermined amount are having no issues mapping correctly with the SKU. I also deleted the Swiper app from my phone and reinstalled it, set up an item that had a $10 amount and an item with a fill-in amount of $11. The $10 item SKU worked perfectly. The fill in $11 did not map at all - went straight to Unrestricted Fund. This was done with 3 different SKUs and the only common factor was they were all fill-in amount items.

      PLEASE HELP - our event is next week and we HAVE to have this issue resolved so we can use the Swiper apps with over 300 guests!
      Please let me know what information you still need to look into this problem.

        Have you defined the SKU for fill-in Amount in Settings of Swiper1? We have separate settings for Additional Amount where you need to define the SKU.

        Please follow the steps below and confirm whether you have defined the SKU for Additional Payments:

        Settings >> Additional Options >> Additional Payments >> here you will need to add the SKU for fill-in amount.

        Please check and let us know if you find any issues.

          I need more than one fill in amount item though.
          For example, these are the items and SKUs that have been defined in previous events and were never a problem with having a blank amount when I was inputting the item into the Swiper:

          Item: 2018 HL Donation SKU: dona-18HL

          Item: 2018 HL Mercado non standard SKU: non-18HL

          Item: 2018 HL Silent Auction Purchase SKU: silac-18HL

          Of course, each event has it's own unique year, but everything else is the same.
          So, as you can see, these are not additional payment options, they are regular store items but without a fixed amount.

          Please help - this HAS to be fixed ASAP!

            Yes, you may define a number of items in the Store with price field value empty then later you may fill with an amount:

            Settings >> Store Manager >> here you can add items with empty value.

            We have tested the above by defining the SKU and it is working without any issues.

            As stated above you may NOT define any SKU for the item "Donation".

            Please make sure that you have saved the item and process a transaction to test it.
