  • CSS on event management

Hello, I updated the color and font size for the widget in Salesforce Event Mgmt., but the widget isn't updating. I'm attaching the CSS as it sits in our instance. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? We want to change the green buttons and text for totals to our organization red (#ef4135) and make the font bigger.

    Good day @rgazzerro

The reason you don't see the changes to the template because, in Default Settings of the Events, you have changed the CSS for Events Listing Sites instead of Event Site. However, we have created one template for you with the name CnP Template with the changes you want.

Please review it and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I changed the default site to CnP under basic information under my event and nothing has changed. Under default settings for the event management at-large, I tried both the CSS that I sent under listings/site and also the default. Nothing is working. How do I ensure the buttons change? The CSS is not being recognized.

            Good day @rgazzerro

Ah, I see whats going here. We are not supporting Custom CSS for the Widgets. Since the widget uses the iFrame, the Custom CSS will not apply to the iFrame page. If you notice, the external registration site working as expected according to the changes made to the Custom CSS.

However, I have discussed this with our developers and they have suggested a hack to accomplish the above (Although we don't recommend).

            Here is the solution:
            • You will need to create a Template with ONLY registration block without HTML code.
            • Assign that template to the Event.
            • Copy the iFrame Code and remove the following RED highlighted parameter from the URL: "https://curemelanoma.secure.force.com/default/cnp_paas_evt__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a3 941000001T5KkAAK&WidgetType=RegistrationWidget"
            • Paste the iFrame code into your website page.
We have created one template for you with the name of "CnP Template" with all above changes. Simply insert the below iFrame code into your website page:

            Here is the iFrame code: <iframe src="https://curemelanoma.secure.force.com/default/cnp_paas_evt__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a3 941000001T5KkAAK" align="top" height="900" width="960" frameborder="0"></iframe>

            Hope that helps.

Good morning, thank you for supplying the coding. Can I ask -- why don't you recommend?

                Good day @rgazzerro

Technically removing the widget property from iFrame may not reflect any further future updates in the widget. Since it is now just an external registration site URL embedded in the iFrame.
