  • Collecting Attendee Information

I am trying to collect additional Attendee Information associated with an event level

    1. It appears that i can only map custom fields on the Registration screen, not on the Attendee screen
    2. When i add additional fields on Form Fields | Contact Fields for the particular level, if i set a default value for the new field it is mapped to the Contact field, however, while the field label appears on the Attendee information screen i am unable to enter data; i have clicked required, visible on and off. What am i doing wrong? thank you

    Good day @john@sputnikmoment.com

That seems to be issue with permissions for the respective fields. However, please grant us login access and share the OrgID so that we can review.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you, this did work, could you tell me what i do differently next time? thanks you.

Also, i am documenting some of the items i have discovered with the new releases. Could you confirm or correct this statement? Thank you

Custom Fields will only map to the Registrants, not to Attendees. if you want to collect custom information on the Attendee (for example TShirt size for a youth workshop) you would add the question to Form Fields | Contact Fields and the appropriate level. The questions must be added to all levels individually as far as i can tell and will only map to the Contact record.

            Good day @john@sputnikmoment.com

We simply added the permissions for those newly added contact fields under "Field-Level Security": https://na24.salesforce.com/00e1a000000RfJ7AAK

Custom Question cannot be mapped for Attendees but you may add Contact custom fields to the Attendees which map to the attendee Contact record.

Hope that helps. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Hello! I think I am having the same issue. We added some fields to the attendee form for the level "Session 1 6/26 -6/30" - but it appears some of them are not accessible (T-Shirt Size and Emergency Contact Name and Phone).

Organization ID is 00D36000000j7rG, access has been granted. Thank you for your help!

i think the support team is in the Near East, meaning an answer tomorrow. If you want to check it yourself go to the Events Site (Click on Sites in Setup and the Site Label Events) then Public Access Setting. Your should see the Events Profile.make sure the fields you are interested in are checked for read and Edit

Hello. I am having the same issue. I can see the Fields on the registration page but neither are editable. Can you please include the steps to grant C&P access to edit and create those fields on the contact record? Permission is granted to C&P - org id: 00D460000015Wz5. Fields in questions are Contact>School Name, and Contact>District Name.

                      Thanks.
