  • Event Location Service not Working!

    I just noticed that all my Events are showing "Oops, the address may be incorrect" . This is for Events I already created as well as new Events I'm creating now. Are you having a problem or is it my instance?

    Good day @michaelc

    One of our developers reviewed your instance and concluded that in order to debug the issue we have to upgrade your instance with latest versions of our apps. If you allow us we will upgrade and debug the issue.

      YES! Please upgrade and debug! You have access. Thanks. Please let me know when this will occur. I have new events I need to add. I should probably wait until you are finished with the upgrade/debug. Thanks!

        We have upgraded your instance and will continue to debug the issue. However, as a part of upgrade it is absolutely important that you re-establish connection between Click & Pledge and Salesforce. To establish connection please see the following KB article: http://cnp.mn/2dzgsms

            Is this being looked at or you're not allowing Event addresses to be entered as part of the set-up, just Latitude/longitude? If that's the case, I would suggest removing Event address location as an option.

              We are looking into this - please note that a single issue diverts our entire attention unless it is resolved so always assume with confidence that a bug is being looked at.

              Currently we have determined that Google has changed its API and we are researching what is going on. We cannot find the reason as all that we are doing is correct per their API but the results are not consistent.

              We will try to make it work and will not remove the address unless we cannot figure out what the reason is. At this time we have seen in some instances if we remove the venue name it works and in some Salesforce instances that same address with venue name works. It is quite strange.. same address works in one instance and not in another instance.. in one instance it works with venue name and in another it does not.

              For now if you use altitude and longitude it works consistently. This we know.

              We will make any adjustments necessary in the update due out before the end of the month.
