  • Event registrations generate receipt we don't want and cant find where to turn it off.

    Where are all the sources from which receipts could be generated? Event registrations generate one we don't want and cant find where to turn it off.

    I created a receipt with C&P Designer called Banquet Registration Receipt and I set the autoresponder to send it whenever there is a banquet registration, which it does. However, some place I have got another receipt set up that is also being sent out that I don't want and I cant figure out where its coming from. Can you help me figure this out?
    my salesforce ID is 00D1a000000Zh2Q
    The default system receipt is unchecked and there is no registration email created.

    Allison,

    Would you log into connect and see if there is a campaign that matches your Event? Then I would look under Campaign Details > Receipt and see if 'Send Receipt' is checked there. If so, you can look in the Settings (use the 4 little square icon in the top right to open the App Launcher) and see if the Receipt Template that is used for the Campaign matches the format of that receipt.

    Please let us know if this is the case.

      no my problem is with the banquet and I don't have a banquet campaign and these receipts look different than my mystery one...

        We processed a test transaction in your instance and received only one Autoresponder receipt email as expected. We reviewed and didn't find the other receipt in your instance. Is there was any template or Autoresponder which might be deleted? I see there is NO reason for you to get two receipts as shown above.

          Hi there!
          It doesn't happen unless there is actual money through our event registration form. I just got another one a few minutes ago. I agree, I don't see where they are coming from either. if someone registers a banquet table of 10 they get 10 or 11 emails.

            While reviewing we noticed that you have been deleted the Autoresponder which we found in Recycle Bin:

            That is the reason you have received TWO different Autoresponders templates. Please note that based on the condition specified in C&P Autoresponder settings, it will fire the Autoresponder.

              So my solution is to empty the recycle bin? or restore the donation acknowledgement and change what makes it fire to something unlikely, because it was already inactive and deleted? Apparently making it inactive and then deleting it is not the best practice so what would be? Thanks for your help finding this. It was a weird one.

                The reason you received the two receipt is because of the above mentioned Autoresponder has not deleted at that time. Since it has been deleted, it won't fire the Autoresponder for this acknowledgement.

                  OK that autoresponder has been deleted and I emptied the recycle bin and I am still getting the same mystery receipts that are being sent to my customer. I don't know how to stop them and I can't register a table to anyone with an email address at this point for fear they will get piles of emails. Thank you so much for all your work on this.Let me know what else I can try.

                      Here is an order number and you now have access. All opportunities with an email address produce this receipt so pick any one.
