Multiple opportunities created for one registration

Hello,
We're experiencing an issue while testing the events tool - I have created a single registration with two attendees (1 ticket for each person). The system is creating two opportunities, each linked to a single C&P order, and each attributed to the registrant/purchaser. We would like this to register as a single opportunity for the full amount of both registrations. How can we configure this?

This cannot be done as it is not how the system works.

Each registration (attendee) is an item in the basket and as such it is an opportunity. A registrant that registers 4 attendees will have 4 opportunities assigned to his/her contact. The transaction will include 4 opportunities.

Hope that answers your question. We can include this as a feature request.

Just to chime in our vote, we would love to see an option to have only one opportunity created and assigned to the registrant..

Have you found a work around for this? we have the same issue, we only want one opportunity created for the entire purchase
