Good day @thomasatcots
Yes, removing the transaction will bring the inventory back and as you purchase the ticket for 8 persons then 1 will be available to register.

Sorry I don't think of any possible ways to do that because it is having cascading effect. As of now the only solution is to delete the entire transaction and register them again.

We will soon be testing this out and I know as always if 100 people say they will go, some will drop out along the way. What is the easiest way to remove these people (From a free event) and open up the space?

Is this something that has been updated yet? We have free tickets for an event and would like to be able to delete people from a group without having to redo an entire registration and send out multiple emails to guests.

In order to delete that from Event, you will need to go into the respective Event > Registrations > here click on respective registrant you would like to delete > here you will find the delete button which deletes all related information for that registration.
Hope that helps.

I wasn't able to issue a credit since it was a free event and we used a 'custom' payment type instead of asking for CC's. So, through the Salesforce C&P PaaS app, I went into C&P Settings / Maintenance / Delete Posted Data and put the order number in and selected all checkboxes to delete the entire footprint. However, all of the attendees from that registration are still showing up in that event's list of registered attendees. How do I get this person off of that list?

No- it does not matter. The behavior is universal.
Others have recently asked for this exception for free event and we have added it to the request list for version 10. The exception will apply to free events only but it is not available now.
Always room for improvement by adding more and more and more if statements.

No it is not possible as it will have major ramifications for pricing, inventory, discount, etc. One cannot remove a single item from a list given group discounts, etc. all depend on the total quantity.
The best solution is to credit the entire transaction and register them again using the box office & the card on file.
Sorry that I cannot provide a simpler solution. The cascading effect of a single attendee has a lot of ripples across a lot of attributes.

Delete One Attendee from Group Registration
I'm wondering if it is possible to delete just one of the attendees that were registered as part of a group. We had one person cancel but would like to avoid deleting ALL of the posted data for that registration and having to re register all of the other attendees through the box office.
