  • How Discounts show up in Salesforce

In our event (https://cnp-paas-evt.na42.visual.for...rF0000000orBc#) Chicago Associate Board Fundraiser, we have a promotional discount.

When the discount is applied, we see a ticket purchase - which is connected to a SKU that points to a naming convention in C&P Settings (see sample below). There is also another opportunity in SF which is the Discount and it's entered as a distinct opportunity that does not follow the naming convention (b/c there is not SKU referenced - I'm guessing) - See below or attached.

Actual Ticket Purchase - Donation Name: "Kelly Murray - Ticket - Bottoms Up - 2016/09/23"
Discount - Donation Name: "Discount (Order #)"

Is is possible to set up the event, or SF, or C&P Settings to also impose a naming convention for each Discount as well? I.e.:

Actual Ticket Purchase - Donation Name: "Kelly Murray - Ticket - Bottoms Up - 2016/09/23"
Discount - Donation Name: "Kelly Murray - Ticket Discount - 2016-09-23" or "Kelly Murray - Ticket Discount - 2016-09-23 (Order #)"?

    Good day @[email protected]

Sorry, it is not possible. We can't customize the discount opportunity name.

Have you tried using Process Builder to rename the Opportunity after it is created?
