NPSP Organization Affiliation mapping

Is there anyway to have an Organization Affiliation record created for any new Contacts who register for a Click and Pledge event? It is sometimes important to see what Organization a registrant is affiliated with and while we can capture this information in a custom question this will not allow us to actually show an affiliation on the Contact record as far as I'm aware.

Have you considered adding a field to the contact record and and mapping it in the event?

At this time we don't map to the account as in the presence of NPSP we don't create the account and NPSP does that process.
