  • Registrations not showing up in Campaigns

    Hello,

    I created an Event named"Run Alpha 02- Middleburg Heights, OH Aug. 20 and 27". I created a Parent Campaign named the same and two child Campaigns; one named Run Alpha 02- Middleburg Heights, OH Aug. 20 and the other Run Alpha 02- Middleburg Heights, OH Aug. 27. When going to run a Report in Salesforce today, SF came back with zero results. I went to the Event in Click and Pledge and saw there were registrations there. When I went to each Campaign in Salesforce I noticed that none of the registrations registered on any of the Campaigns. Did I set this up incorrectly or is there a problem? There are no problems with other Campaigns, but this is the only one I set up with a parent/child.

        all your attendees & registrants are in the Temp so they are not yet processed. Once you process them using the C&P Temporary Contact you should see all your campaigns populating as you expect it.

          They shouldn't appear as Temp. I have my account set up to process all records automatically and associate them to an account named Click and Pledge if they can't be paired to an existing contact by name and email address. All of the registrations on this event appear like that. When I try to process I get the following error (below) I tried to update Tom Henderson, one of the Registrants, by manually pushing them through the Admin portal. It said it successfully updated, but the contact is still showing as "temp" in the Click and Pledge program :

          "Sorry but the Temporary Contact is missing. The following are possible reasons for this absence:
          1. The Temporary Contact has been deleted.
          2. The transaction has not posted back to Salesforce.
          3. The C&P Data has posted but has been deleted

            This means the C&P Data has not posted to Salesforce. I just reviewed your account & noticed a lot of transaction with error as shown below:

            We have notified our test engineers to review your instance & determine why the posts are being rejected.

                We have upgraded your Salesforce instance as requested.

                It is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT that you re-establish connection between Click & Pledge and Salesforce. With this update C&P Accounts no longer are needed to be added to Salesforce as the connection will automatically add the required information to Salesforce. It is extremely important that you login to the portal & re-establish connection. Hope this will fix the issue you are facing.                   In reference to the reported errors, we see the issue to be related to the expiration of your connection's session. Please re-establish connection and let us know so we can test this further.

                  It is important that you login to the Portal and re-verify the connection and update the settings at your earliest convenience, if not earlier.

                    I just re-established the connection per the instructions above. The issue was occurring only on the aforementioned event prior to this latest release being installed. Please continue to test at your convenience. Thank you.

                      Good day michaelc

                      We identified the issue in your instance. The default campaign record type was set to NONE and it is required by Salesforce before creating a campaign. The issue is a Salesforce issue & not a C&P problem since Salesforce was blocking us from creating a campaign.

                      We set the record type to default and posted all error'd transactions:

                      The connected user's profile did not have a default record type for the object.

                      You may customize the record type but it cannot be NONE.

                        Wouldn't the error you found have affected all transactions/records? It was only this one Event that had the problem. Doesn't make sense.

                          Good day michaelc

                          The issue would have been there with any transaction with a Campaign. In the presence of campaign the issue would be present given the record type was generating error in Salesforce.

                            Every Event I create has a Campaign associated with it in Salesforce. The only difference with this event was there was a parent campaign with 2 child campaigns associated to it. All transactions processed correctly on all other Events prior to and after this event was created. These records appeared to have processed now. Thanks.
