  • Corporate Sponsors

    We often have corporate sponsors for our events. They usually pay by business check and the payment is processed through the box office. When we collect the information about the sponsorship and for payment it is always looking for a contact name rather than an account name. Is there a way or a best practice to follow to take payments from corporate sponsors where there is not an individual donor involved?

    One way we have seen our clients do this is by Record Type and set it as company.

      Yes, we add them as a company as well but the issue we have is around recording payments. From what I see all of the payments processing assumes you have a person, i.e. First Name and Last Name, not company name.
