WID and Contact Record Type

We have parents as the registrant and their students as the attendees. We have contact roles setup in SF 'parent' and 'student'. I noticed in the event settings that the WID is what controls the contact roles. How do I or can I change the WID for the two different parties coming in through one c&p form?

Good day!

WID stands for Window ID which is the checkout page identifier. It is a unique number set for the checkout page.

It cannot be changed and at this time WID is the only parameter that sets the Contact Role. We will be adding this flexibility to a future release.

Sorry for a moment I was confused. Contact Roles are not dependent on WID - Record Types are based on WID.

Are you referring to Contact Role or Record Type?

The field data type is:

RecordType

Record Type

Contact Record Type	Student [Change]

Unfortunately at this time the Contact Record type is only based on WID. We are adding "Campaign" to this method so one can setup a different Contact Record Type based on campaign.

At this time event cannot support customized record type but as stated it will be added in the near future.
