  • Temporary contacts from previous event

    We have just updated on 7/2 PaaS and CnP Events. On 7/3 and 7/3, 190 temporary contacts have been created. Most of these appear to be associated with an event we held last year and are in the process of building again for this year. I don't know if I have done something while trying to clone last year's event or if the appearance of these temp contacts has to do with the upgrade.

    You have not done anything wrong. The reason you are seeing these is because you had never settled the attendees from last year. In the previous release we noticed that most clients are missing settling the attendee temps and as such their events were not generating the right report.

    In this release we have combined all temps into one screen & given your post it is working. Now you are seeing them whereas before you were not going to the tab for the attendees.

    There is a pull down menu at the top of the C&P Temp that shows you if they are related to event attendees or the payment. I strongly recommend you settle them so your contacts show their correct history.

        Okay, I'll admit I don't know how to settle the attendees from last year.

          Good day Tim

          it is easy- just click on each record ID and settle them, just like any other temporary contact.

          With the release you have all are in one tab so simply settle them like you settle any other temporary contact and it will resolve all issues in the events in the past making sure all contacts are assigned correctly.
