  • Error when trying to process temporary contact created during registration

    Hello,

    We recently tried to process a temporary contact that was created when someone registered for our event. At first we got an error saying that it had already be processed, when we want into the record via the "temporary contacts" tab outside of the event module we got this error:
    Code:
    List has no rows for assignment to SObject 
    
    
    
    An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_PaaS)
    Can you advise us how to correctly process this contact and prevent this from happening in the future?

    Hello, we just noticed a second instance of this same error. Can we please have someone from support take a look at our account to see why this is happening?

        I just granted you access.

        I didn't want to upgrade while our registration is open as I was concerned about this affecting our event. Would this not be the case?

          Good day!

          We prefer not to upgrade when an active registration is taking place.

          We can upgrade you very early in the morning if that helps. For example we can have it updated by 6 a.m. ET tomorrow.

          Let us know how you wish to proceed. We can do whatever works for you.

            Is the upgrade necessary to fix the issue we are having with the temporary contacts?

            If it is not, we would likely wait until our conference is over so that we don't risk breaking anything else.

                  Good day!

                  We reviewed and fixed the issue. The issue is, above order number didn't posted to your Salesforce instance. We simply pushed the data and you can see the temp contact.

                  Once the Event completed please post the request for upgrade in the "Salesforce Upgrade Assistance" channel so that we can upgrade it for you.

                        Hello,

                        We noticed that this error is continuing. Pushing the transaction does not seem to be fixing it.

                        It seems that for all temporary contacts that were created as a result of a declined credit card are returning this error when we try to process them:

                        List has no rows for assignment to SObject



                        An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_PaaS_EVT)

                        An example of one such transaction is order number: 1604051741149611028

                        And there is another error which seems to have started after the most recent release of Salesforce.

                        If we try to process any of the temporary contacts which were created as a result of a declined payment after 6/4 the contact will appear to process, but then will return to the list of unprocessed temporary contacts in approximately 24 hours.

                              Good day @franharrington,

                              We reviewed and found that the order number which you are referring to (1604051741149611028 ) has been deleted from Event which is causing the above error. Manually deleting registrant and attendee will create orphaned records in the system.

                              Registration may be deleted by going to the registration record and cancelling the registration. Click on the name of the person in the "Name" column and delete the registration. This way it will remove complete footprint of the record:

                              However, for those orphan temp contacts, you will need to delete it through Maintenance under C&P Settings. It will remove complete footprint from the instance.
