  • Question about event registration showing in SF

    I have an event that just opened and when a person registers their family member that registration is not showing on the family members record. The registrant listed the family member with a different email address. So I used the merge function to capture the new email. Why if I used the merge with would it not show that individual as a registrant for this event. How can I get this registration to show on this persons SF record. Thanks for the help.

    Good day!

    Sorry but I am a bit confused about the question.

    Please let us know the event name and the registrant so we can review the setting and the event.

    If the event is a named event and the person has entered the name of the registrant the event has to have the person listed in the registrant record. Is the event a named event?

    Please grant us login access and more information so we can review your setting.

      Sorry to be confusing. It's a confusing issue.. I normally would just attend office hours to get something like this answered, but there are no office hours this week. I have granted C&P a week access. The event is call P/F/F registration. The person that registered was Susie Picart. She registered herself and her husband Jose Picart for our conference. His registration went into temporary contacts because Susie had used a different email address for him than the one we have on file. When I went to process the temporary contact I used "Merge with" so that the email address would then be attached to his account as an alias, which worked. The problem lies in that if you go to Jose's contact record nothing is showing on the C&P event registration. It doesn't live on Susie's account either, just shows up as a gift. It does show him as an attendee in the C&P events module. I hope that helps to clear up any confusion. If you would like to talk by phone if you have question I can be contacted at 513.777.6889.
