  • Linking Attendee Information to Campaign Member

Is there a way to see Attendees on the Registrant's Opportunity and/or is there a way to map custom questions and fields to campaign member? Specifically, we are wanting to see if there is a discount code applied to the attendee.

    Thank you!

    Good day!

The discount is in the attendee details:

As for the attendees on the opportunity record - the opportunity name includes the attendee name. Mapping custom questions to the opportunity may be done in the C&P Settings > Custom Mapping tab.

In reference to campaign member, at this time this is not an option but something we are exploring.

Hope we have answered your question.

Hello...Faith here. On the attached receipt screen you will see the line item as "Auction Purchases". Where do I go to change "Auction Purchases" to be "Event Purchases"? I am dealing with Salesforce Org ID 00Di0000000cG9J. Click image for larger version

        Good day @Faith,

I believe those are coming from Auctions for Salesforce and nothing that C&P has control over. It is called Item name when posted to us.

Is it possible for me to schedule a call before the 3:00 pm call today or tomorrow morning I can walk through this with you all? I don't feel like I am explaining myself correctly. - Faith

There are now two issues that I am trying to resolve.

            1. I'm not sure how or why, but when using the embedded virtual terminal, each purchase is creating an Auction Purchased Item opportunity and a Donation opportunity (see attachment). Since not all of these transactions are donations, the donation opportunity should either be created as a different record type or not at all. Can you assist me with this?

            2. Regarding the Item Name, I heard back from David Habib and he is saying "I don't know what they are pulling the info from. A4S adds the following two fields on Opportunities: Auction Donated Item Name and Auction Item Name. These can be translated/relabeled using Translation Workbench. But I have no idea if this is what they are referring to. " Where are you all pulling this Item Name from on the opportunity?

            Thanks,
            Faith

              Good day!

We are unable to see the images you are referring to. In reply to your questions, please see below:

1: Donation opportunity is Nonprofit Starter Pack record type. All opportunities are the same opportunity except that NPSP adds a record type for each created opportunity. We do not have control over NPSP's handling of record type.

2: Auction Purchases label on the item posted: please see below:

Please see the above Auction Settings > Credit Card Charge URL Formula:

the b1 (basket 1) is the item name posted and it is part of Auction settings for the payment form.

The value may be changed statically and will be the same for all auctions.

              Hope that answers your question.

                Hello!

That answered my second question beautiful, I think. As for the first question, let me try again with the graphic. It seems like for one Check Out transaction, two opportunities are being created. Any idea why?

                  Good day!

Would you please post the Opportunity ID for 2 opportunities that are for the same item? If you go to the Opportunity the URL has the Opportunity ID.

I did a transaction this morning to confirm. There was an opportunity created upon purchase (0063100000c2SCuAAM) that is the correct Opportunity record type of "GW Auction Purchased Item" and during Check Out , another seems to be created (0063100000c2SEr) that is Opportunity record type "Donation".

P.S. Change "Auction Purchases" to "Event Purchases" is custom settings did the trick! Thank you!

                      Good day!

Sorry I was not understanding the question correctly.

Currently Auctions create an opportunity when a ticket is sold and when the transaction posts for processing C&P creates an opportunity based on the transaction. The integration does not follow the original opportunity as created by Auctions for Salesforce.

The next release is a close integration with Event & Auction and as such will not create a secondary opportunity for the transaction. The ETA for the next release is release 10 due out later this year.

Sorry but for now you will need to manually delete the opportunity without the Order Number as created by Auctions for Salesforce.
                      Regards,

Just so I'm clear, this isn't when a ticket is sold. This is when they purchase a t-shirt or something of that ilk while at the event. Are you saying we should delete the GW Auction Purchased Item opportunity or the Donation opportunity that is also created at that time? Again, I just want to make sure I am understanding this 100%.

I have also added the appropriate C&P fields to the Auction Purchase Item record type page layout. Is there a way to change the record type of the opportunity C&P creates? Carry the data over? (formula field?)
