Incorporating photo and brief description into events listing

I am wondering if it is possible to incorporate more than just the name of an event into the events listing. I am working with a concert venue and they want to be able to incorporate a thumbnail of the artist along with a brief description into the event listing. Something along the lines of these examples:

Is this possible? I've been playing with the events listing, but All I can come up with is the name, dates and the button to go to the events page.

Currently this is not a feature but it is in the design for the Event 10.x as the entire interface has changed.

In the current release the name is the only information posted in the registration form.

It is scheduled for Q4. It is currently under development and as part of a complete launch of all products. it is hard to say anything about a concrete date & time at this time.
