  • Visualforce Error: List has no rows for assignment to SObject

    Hi,

    When trying to view Click and Pledge Temporary Contacts that are associated with declined credit card transactions we get this Visualforce error message:

    List has no rows for assignment to SObject
    An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_PaaS_EVT)

    In most cases, the person trying to pay for the registration enters a different credit card or corrects a typo and their second attempt at registration goes through.

    Here's the problem:
    1. The registration (Contact and Transaction) associated with an approved credit card creates a second temporary contact. We can convert the second temporary contact to a contact and process as normal.

    2. We cannot delete the declined card transaction or the temporary contact associated with it.

    3. The person's registration payment total is double what it should be as the declined card transaction is added to the approved credit card transaction. Jane Doe tries to purchase a $100 ticket but her card is declined. She then purchases the $100 ticket with another card. Her total registration now equals $200 on registration screens and reports.

    Thank you for assistance with this.

    We too are getting this error message and have these declined transaction contacts stuck in our Temporary Contacts queue. Any idea how we can clear them out?

      Good day @jvigran,

      Please grant us login access so we can review your account. It is always best to grant us access with each post so we can save time in addressing your needs. Each Salesforce instance is different and only reviewing your account will help us in finding out the reason.

        @jvigran,

        Sorry I did not realize this message is posted to the API channel. Please send us the link to your form so we can review your API code. Is this a custom form you have created and are you using the FaaS forms or the SOAP service?

          Access granted. No, we aren't using API code. Just trying to resolve temporary contacts. I just posted here because I was looking for solutions and found another post with the same problem. Thank you.

              @BTAOregon,

              We have not heard back from you regarding your post. Please note that this post was also submitted as a separate thread: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/for...ent-to-sobject

              Based on your note we are assuming this is not an API question but an event question. Since we have not heard back from you and do not have access to your account we will move this thread to the correct channel and consider the issue solved.

              If you still need help please respond to the previous post and let us know how you wish to move forward.
              Regards,

                Good day @jvigran,

                Please let us know the name of a contact that you have issue with. I just reviewed your instance & see a number of errors with the following message:

                Upsert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: MALFORMED_ID, Procurred By: id value of incorrect type: Statia: [GW_Auctions__Procurred_By__c]

                This is NOT a C&P error but one with Auction - based on the namespace prefix. Have you added a custom field?

                Based on this error these transactions cannot be settled as we are unable to proceed with all the necessary actions.

                Unfortunately these transactions are not something we can fix. The error is related to the message you see. Do you know what those fields are?
