  • System Admin getting Insufficient Privileges

Hello, I am a system admin. When I go to Manage Temporary Contacts and attempt to merge a registrant/attendee into an existing contact, I get an error message saying I don't have the privileges. I have transferred ownership into my name, just in case that was the issue, but that didn't work. Can someone please look into my issue?

    Good day!

This could be due to a number of reasons. NPSP's 2.x deprecated fields, permissions ,etc.

Please grant us login access so we can review your instance. We checked and we do not have access. Instructions on how to grant access is listed at the top of this page. It always helps to grant us access with each question as it will save time.

        Good day!

        Please see: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...recated-fields

All these deprecated fields are present in your instance. With the login permission you have provided we are unable to delete these. Would you please see if you can delete the fields as shown in the article.

This is not a C&P issue but an issue with NPSP and by deleting the deprecated fields it will be resolved. If you are unable to delete them please let us know.

I also added the following permissions to your profile:

            Good day!

The previous post was based on a quick review. We have completed the review and the issue you are having is related to the Territory Management. Currently our application does not support Territory Management as it has a conflict with how TM handles contacts. We are working with Salesforce support and will have an update once the issue is better understood.

            Please see:

If you wish to use the "Territory Management" you need to switch to "Fully Automatic" Contact matching. The semi-automatic and manual options are not compatible with "Territory Management". To use the Temporary Contact, for now, you need to disable the Territory Management.

            Hope that answers your question.

I am not currently using the Territory Management object, so this solution worked. Thank you!
