  • Attendee's are not showing up in Temporary Contacts?

    Hey,

    I'm having issues getting Attendee's to populate in the Temporary Contacts page. So far only the registrant and their information are transferring to temporary contacts.

    If a registrant enters multiple attendees, none of the attendees are being transferred (only to the C&P Event Registered Attendees tab). Is there a way to make sure all attendees become temporary contacts?

    Good day @Ishramko,

    Please grant us login access so we can review your instance. It will help if you also provide the name of a registrant or the record that you think has an issue.

    Your instance is also not at the latest release. We can upgrade your instance while reviewing your issue as well.

      Sorry about that. You've been granted access. Our salesforce ID is 00Dd0000000gsEP.

      An example of the issue I am referring to can be seen by looking at Lizzy Bamko and Maura Bamko. Both are appearing in the "C&P Event Registered Attendees" but only Lizzy (who was the registrant) had a temporary contact made. Is there a setting I need to change to have have all registered attendees show up in temporary contacts?

      Let me know if you need anything else to continue.

            Important Consideration:

            The following 2 points need to be considered as part of this update since you may see more temporary contacts than you had prior to this update.
            • C&P Temporary Contact: In the 4.1x release Event's temporary contacts are part of the global C&P Temporary Contacts. Any attendee that was previously in the Event's temporary contact is now in the C&P Temporary Contact tab.
            • Maintenance: The maintenance self-healing service (C&P Settings > Maintenance) reviews all C&P Data logs and attempts to fix any errors that may have resulted from the post. To resolve the error, the self-healing service will delete & re-posts the prior post. This action in most cases will resolve any error that might have happened due to NPSP's record locks, etc.

              Thanks so much! This is a really great step and we have it working almost 100% how we'd like it.

              However, one new issue appears to have sprung up: Whenever a temporary contact is processed or matching with an existing contact, the fields from the event registration (email, phone, street address) are not being transferred to the contact page. They show up perfectly fine in the Temporary contacts, but once processed, they vanish. Any idea what can be done?

                Good day!

                They do NOT vanish - nothing vanishes. They are in the Alias record. We never update an existing contact as we do not want to remove valid information and potentially update it with invalid text or entries.

                Please add the C&P Alias to the Contact layout and you will see all of them. You may then choose to copy the alias information to the contact record after review.

                  Thanks again! So I added C&P Contact Alias to my page layout, but nothing is showing up yet. Is there an additional step that I need to take to get the Alias record to show up?

                    Good day!

                    If ALIAS is blank then the contact has to be still in the C&P Temporary Contact.

                    Have you checked the C&P Temporary Contact?

                    If all is OK and you still do not see it please grant us login access and the order number so we can review the setting.

                      A couple example of what I'm talking about can be seen with contact ID
                      003d000002uJ07SAAS and Contact ID 003d000002uJ0C3AAK. Both used to be temporary contacts, I attached to an existing contact and the alias is still blank. Not sure why.

                        Still not seeing any data transfer to the C&P Alias object. Any idea why that might be an issue?

                        Also, having a lot of issues processing temporary contacts now. Not sure why. This is the error message that pops up:

                        Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING, Required fields are missing: [Last Name]: [Last Name] Error is in expression '{!SaveItem}' in component <apex:commandButton> in page cnp_paas_evt:eventtemporarycontact: (CnP_PaaS_EVT)
                        An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_PaaS_EVT)

                          Good day!

                          Have you seen that you are not mapping any fields? You are simply telling us to ignore all these fields by not putting them in the fields.

                          This is what you have changed the setting as this is not the default setting. Based on this we are asked to only add the First Name and Last Name with each post when creating a contact.

                          Is this intentional?

                            Good day!

                            We need to work with Salesforce to identify the issue. Salesforce has requested access to your account so please grant Salesforce access to the account so we can proceed with them and determine the root cause of this issue.

                            We are unable to identify what is the causing the row 0 error you are seeing as it does not seem to be related to our app and is a validation rule that we cannot find.

                            Please let us know when they have access so we can proceed.
