Do not create opportunity if total is $0

How can I set that complimentary registrations (event level price="$0.00) should not create an opportunity in salesforce? I cant do it by transaction type settings, because a $0 does not create a transaction....

Currently all items in basket will create an opportunity, regardless of their amount.

In release 10.x we have made this an option so you can set it not to create an opportunity for $0.

Sorry but for now all items create opportunity.

The release 10.x is the major release that has been under development for over 1.5 years. It is scheduled for later this year - with quadruple Safe Harbor.
