  • Event 3.0 bugs

    Hi Thank you for upgrading our SF system to the 3.0 events package. I am setting up an event and testing it, and I have found a few bugs.

    Event name: Dia de los Muertos Nov 2 2014

    • Payee and or attendee do NOT receive any emails even though the options selected.
    • Receipt sent OK
    • Ticket in SF (PDF is OK), Word not good
    • Badge in SF is not OK (both PDF & Word

    Good day!

    We have tested this system a great deal so we know it works (hopefully we have not missed any bugs).

    In reviewing your instance this morning we noticed the following:

    Attendee email is blank

    No wildcards are used for the registration email body:

    No eTickets are set:

    In this release we no longer send PDF receipts and attachments. Attendees & registrants may download their tickets & name badges by clicking on the links in the body of the email designed by you. Please make sure to include the wildcard annotations in the body of the email.

    As for the name badge you need to select the 4x3 design and then print the 4x3 format. This is one area that is being worked on heavily to directly integrate Avery templates but that was not finished before the release of this version.

      Thanks. I updated all the wild cards in the payee and attendee email templates to your sample text.

      The system still does NOT send email to the payee or attendee with the tickets and badge links?

      Yes I get C&P receipt.

      And I understand you are working on the badge issue.

        May we create a test event in your instance and test it?

        Once done we will delete it but need your permission before we move forward.

              We have determined the following is the issue:

              Please delete one of these records. You have 2 records for the same account.

              If you want we can delete it for you but based on log monitoring we see errors are being generated for this duplicate.

                OK, I deleted Stan Brown. I am confused as we are both administrators for our C&P account. Stan is the "primary" C&P contact, however I (Rick) am in charge of the events and most of SalesForce.

                I also changed the "account name" to be "Water for Humans" ( as in our C&P account. The second account (in SF) was made via the post installation process instructions. We thought that each user need to be listed.

                System tested with a single entry

                Attendee: Rick, Single test2 Email: rick.mckenney(at)pinchot.edu
                Payee: Rick, Single test2 Email: rickm(at)waterforhumans.org

                All works GREAT

                  Good day!

                  The entry in the Account is for Click & Pledge accounts and NOT the users.

                  You are simply entering the accounts through which Salesforce can post to Click & Pledge for processing.

                  Glad to see that it worked.

                  We need to add a validation that stops people from adding the same account twice. I have requested this to be included in the next release.
