  • Full Cycle / Steps for Processing a Refund

    Wondering what they are.

I'm seeing these steps for returning the money

But what about removing the attendee from the event, adjusting the attendee count, etc. Is there a more complete set of directions?

    Thanks,
    John

    Good day!

With event we strongly recommend that you issue credit using the Event Management application as it will handle all that you are looking for. In reviewing your account I noticed that you are not on the latest release & as such do not have that feature. You are currently on the following versions:

Size:	49.3 KB
ID:	21523

The feature you are looking for is in release 4.x of event.

If you grant us login access we can gladly upgrade your instance to the latest release and you will be able to take advantage of the features you need, including issue credit, auto-adjust inventory, etc.

Please let us know if we can be of more help.

      Great news. Thank you.

I've given support access. Could the upgrade be made? (This is a Sandbox account, by the way. Not production.)

I think the upgrade occurred? Thanks!

I took a look at 4.x release notes and found this: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...a-registration

My options don't look like this. Would this be because I created the event in an older version?

Also, what would the functional change be? It looks like you still need to issue credit and delete the registration separately? Except now Issue Credit is called Refund Registration? Am I missing anything.

Thank you so much for your prompt help.

          Good day!

Sorry but the upgrade is not complete until we post to the forum the completion of the process. Upgrades are done in stages - in stage 1 we upgrade and then assign the stage 2 to the post-installation team that will review your instance and clean the legacy tabs, permissions, etc.

Your instance is not yet complete - you will be notified once the process has completed.

            Good day @jbaldo,

We have upgraded you as requested.

It is highly recommended that you re-establish the connection after each upgrade. To establish connection please see the following KB article: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...rticles/803669

            Release notes:Important Consideration:

The following 2 points need to be considered as part of this update since you may see more temporary contacts than you had prior to this update.
            • C&P Temporary Contact: In the 4.1x release Event's temporary contacts are part of the global C&P Temporary Contacts. Any attendee that was previously in the Event's temporary contact is now in the C&P Temporary Contact tab.
            • Maintenance: The maintenance self-healing service (C&P Settings > Maintenance) reviews all C&P Data logs and attempts to fix any errors that may have resulted from the post. To resolve the error, the self-healing service will delete & re-posts the prior post. This action in most cases will resolve any error that might have happened due to NPSP's record locks, etc.

              Thank you for the upgrade.

When I run an Attendee report, I get this error. Do you think it's related?

This forum doesn't seem to handle images well, so here's the message posted:

                  Good day @JBaldo,

The images are OK as long as you upload JPG. It has major problem with PNG and it shows it quite small. Sorry but we are using VBulletin- not much choice in making them change the way they do things.

                      Good day!

The instance is a sandbox and frankly we are not sure how the system may interact. Please grant us login access so we can review the page.

OK, thank you. I've given guest access. If you can confirm that this is just because the event was created before the upgrade... that helps although this is not great. Would there be any workaround?

                          Good day!

The issue seems to be related to a deleted level. Since we do not allow for levels to be deleted, once they have registration it seems like you have deleted it manually in Salesforce through custom tabs.

                          see below:

The reason for the error is simply the missing level in the report.

Are you aware of any manual deletion of this level?
