How do I activate the Oportunity Record Type "Gift" in Auctions for Salesforce

I have set up a paddle raise in Auctions for Salesforce for KEEN Los Angeles. There is a note to "mark as a gift" if it is a straight donation. I have done so, but have not been able to tie the items to the "Opportunity Record Type 'Gift'" as indicated in the instruction box, shown below.







The Opportunity has been created as part of the install, as shown below. It just doesn't appear on any picklist. Please advise how to do this. The paddle raise amount is not showing up as tax deductible on the receipt, and I'm sure this is why.

This is an Auction question and not really related to our product. Hope the following helps.

The field in question "Opportunity Record Type: Gift" is a custom field. Please see below:

Setup >> Develop >> Custom Settings >> Click on Auction settings.

At "Custom Fields" you will find the Opportunity Record Type Gift




































If, at the time of creating Auction items, you select "Treat Purchase as Gift" option then while you purchase that item through the "Purchase" tab it will append "Gift" to the created opportunity.










If you want to see all Gift opportunities under a Record Type then please follow the steps below:


Go to Setup>> Develop>> Custom Settings >> Click on the Manage link for AuctionSettings >> Give your Record Type name to Opportunity Record Type Gift Field. Now all purchase Opportunities will comes under that Record Type.
