  • Update error

    Hi,

I went to upgrade and got this error:

"Organization: AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps (00DG0000000iirz)
Package: Click & Pledge Events (04t90000000VMuM)

    Problem:

    1. This app can't be upgraded.
Salesforce has blocked this package upgrade because the new package version removes some Apex code that one or more Visualforce pages or global Visualforce components need in order to function. Please contact your partner with this error information. Provide these component names to your partner. Visualforce Pages: PdfDisplay, Registrantpage, Registrantpage_2, Registrantpage_edit_2, RegistrationEngine, RegistrationLevels, Reglevel, Reportpage, AttendeeTemplates, RegistrantTemplates, ArchievedEventpage, Attendeepage_2, AuthenticateMobile, ContactEdit, ContactInfoFields, CreateAnEventPage, CreateCustomFields, CreateEventPage, Discount_page_2, Discountplan, EventDesignsTable, EventLayout, EventLayoutview, EventListPage, EventListing, EventListingPreview, EventListingRedirect, Revreg, Revreg1, EventRegistrationLayout, Revreg_Event_2, EventRegistration_0, Revreg_level_2, EventRegistration_1, EventRegistration_2, TemperoryGridTables, EventRegistration_3, EventRegistration_4, TicketDesign, EventRegistration_5, TicketSendingButton, EventRegistration_ThankYou, ticketPrint, updaterecordscount, TicketSendingButtonRegistrant, UpcomingEventpage, Event_category, UploadCSVDiscounts, Event_category_2, boxofficepage, Eventattendee, Eventattendee_2, downlaodregistrant, Eventattendeedownload_2, downlaodregistrant_2, Eventmanualregistration, download, Eventmanualregistration_ThankYou, downloadlevelattendee_2, EventsDesignerView, eventdownload, eventlistingview, NameBadgeSendingButton, getattendee, NameBadgeSendingButtonRegistrant, levelattendee_2, OrderCustomFields, OrderRegistrationLevel."

I don't actually have event pages I need active right now, so if we need to disable those that's not a big deal. What I do have though is a custom built form for our regular donations. It's the one Franklin from Idealist does. Will this be affected?

Please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks for your help! I'm excited for all the new features you demoed last week.

    Good day!

This error is due to your version number:

Name:	2015-12-14_11-34-52.jpg
Views:	18
Size:	28.5 KB
ID:	20933

Versions prior to 2.6000.22 have to upgrade to that release prior to being able to upgrade to any version later than the 2.6000.22. Please see the release note: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/for...ease-2-6000-22

The installation link for 2.6000.22 is included in the release note for that upgrade.

I suggest that we review your installation and make sure your post-installation is correct. If you grant us login access we will update it by Wednesday & review all your post-installation steps.

MAJOR PROBLEM! This worked, but as soon as the upgrade ran it created temporary contacts for everyone who had donated to our events, and sent them thank you emails. This looks HORRIBLE for us, and during our calendar year end appeal is the worst possible time for something like this to happen. Please help.

        Good day!

That should not happen. Attendees are not part of the receipt or autoresponder. Attendees never get emails from the autoresponder.

Only the registrants get autoresponders and those were already in the C&P Temp or were taken care of before.

Donations have nothing to do with events.

If you grant us login access we can go and review. I am 99.99% sure this has not sent any emails since that is not how it works.

It's that .01%. Some of our staff and friends had made donations, and they all got emails. We have a trigger set in our Salesforce to send everytime a Temp Contact is created. That's on our end. The problem on your end is that this update just created over 300 temp contacts. That forced our trigger.

            Good day!

This was in our release notes - we simply merged the 2 tables to remove the #1 support issue we had in event. People constantly were asking what is going on with their event attendees.

In the release note we stated that these 2 tables- C&P Temporary Contact & Event Attendee Temporary contacts are merged and that is to streamline the event management.

I am sorry that this has happened and I am only thinking what we could have done to make sure this would not happen. The temporary contacts have always been there and you have simply ignored them and now they are in the main object.

            Please see the release notes:
            • Registrant & attendee temporary contacts are now part of the same process and no longer separate.
I will request addition of a large font note at the top of the release note making sure everyone sees the change.

Let us know if we can do anything to help.

Thank you for updating the release note. The new one is much clearer. We sent an apology email to everyone in our system who was affected. What should we do with those temporary contacts that were created? Where do they go if we push them through? Alternately, what happens if we delete them?

                Good day!

The temporary contacts are exactly the same ones that were in event. These are the attendees in your event that were never converted - in other words the attendees that have attended your event were never matched against a contact and no record of them exists in your Salesforce. The stats, reports, etc. are all incomplete.

For correctness you need to assign them to a contact or create a contact. If you delete them your events will all be orphaned with those attendees.

Again these are not NEW.. these are old attendees that were in your system and you did not know about it - therefore the feature to make it easier for you to see them.

It won't allow me to pull in the temporary contacts that were created from the events module. If I click on them I get the standard page. I then map to the right contact, hit "process" and the page just refreshes itself. Nothing happens.

                    Good day!

Would you please grant us login access and the order number with the issue. This is a permission issue with one of the objects we deal with, namely Opportunity, Contact, or Account.

Once we have access we will review it. Also what is the Userid that has the issue?

We tried with two users, both of which are system admins. The problem is with every temporary contact that was created when we did the update to the event module.
