  • error when entering Existing Patron in Box Office

This error message comes up when I tried to enter an existing contact into the Box Office "Existing Patron" box:
Attempt to de-reference a null objectError is in expression '{!loadcontactattendee}' in page cnp_paas_evt:externalregistrationpage: (CnP_IaaS)

An unexpected error has occurred. Your solution provider has been notified. (CnP_IaaS)

Sorry if this has been answered before. I thought I saw the same question in this forum but now can't find it to see what the answer is.

    Good day!

    Please test it now.

You had a version inconsistency which was corrected. We upgraded your API Class Library to the latest version and all is working fine.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Same kind of issue but when entering from the Pledge screen

I had a similar error when I tried to enter a pledge from the C&P Pledge screen. Is there a fix I can do from my end or is this something that has to be done elsewhere?
          Thanks

                Good day!

We reviewed your account and noticed you have the API Class Library which had a conflict with the other versions you have installed. We upgraded you to the latest library and it should work now.

Please test it and let us know if you still have any issues.

                  Works great!!

                  THANK YOU!
Was there something I did (or didn't do) that caused that so that I or anyone else in the future can avoid?
                  Thanks again, y'all rock!

                    Bart,

No - you have not done anything wrong- just did not update to the latest release.

As Salesforce updates from Summer to Spring to Winter we have to adjust and as such we issue patches and changes to the core API platform. You had version 2.xxx8 and we simply upgraded it to 2.xxx9 which resolved the issue.

In release 2.xxx9 we change the country name of a few countries that had their names changed including some states that had changed. That change resulted in mismatch between your existing data & the ISO standards. With the upgrade it is all fixed.

We will have another release coming out by the first week of September. Keep an eye on the News section of the forum to learn about the new updates. We update the forum as soon as a release has been made and it is the fastest way to learn about new features and updates. You may subscribe to the News section to receive email alerts.
