We created a site for you called Event. You are better off just use this for all your events and will make your life easier.
Remember each event is identified by the URL and event parameters. The base site is just the base site - not event releated

Hah! thats great...for years I've been redoing the post install every time thinking that was a necessary step...this makes way more sense.

The issue is with the post-installation with the site.
May I ask why are you creating a new site for each event? You just need one Site URL and use it for all your events. Each event is identified by various parameter from the same URL.
If you are using a different site then the post-installation needs to be done on each site you create.

Registration Page & Widget Not Functioning
Hi...ran into an interesting problem today. A new event page, when we click on the registration page or widget, when we go to add a registrant, it will not allow us to enter any information.
Screenshot of problem:
Event is named PR2014.
