How do we delete a duplicate attendee record? Thanks.

  • #2
    Good day!

You may delete duplicate registrations (registrant) but not attendees. Attendees are part of a registration and cannot be changed since the payment has been made, discounts applied, etc. An attendee cannot be deleted in a registration.

If you have a duplicate registration that you wish to delete simply go to the registrant and delete the entire registration.

    Hope that answers your question.

Can you please add this capability to a future revision? So many people end up changing...and there is no way to change this in the system. For example, we need to account for every person, including volunteers in our headcount for fire code purposes. I end up registering all the volunteers, so if a volunteer can't help after all, we are stuck with an extra person in the headcount, unless I replace that person with some other volunteer. It's really messy and causes more work for us because I have to modify the reports.

        Good day @smoadmin,

We have no problem of doing anything. Programmers & typists .. we can do whatever one can imagine but there are constraints that we have to abide with. Here are a few examples:
        • Tickets purchased are discounted based on group discount. Removing a person will disqualify the purchase. How will you account for it?
        • Tickets purchased are part of a table with fixed price. How do you remove a person from the table?
        • Tickets purchased as part of a table count as inventory of the tables and now a table has less than the total count .. how will you account for the inventory?
The list goes on and on. As said before we are simply typists and type what are told.. the question is how do you handle the exceptions?
        Regards,
