  • Registering Non Paying Guests

Hi, I have a conundrum that I am sure has an easy resolution. We are using C&P Event Management for the first time this fall after a summer database migration to Salesforce. Our event only has one ticketing option- one ticket for $90 but there will also be speakers, guests, and staff that are attending-just not paying. In order to register these people I have created 3 additional ticket levels labeled "Guest, Speaker, and Staff" and set it to "Box Office Only" Mode so that it does not appear on the public event url. Is this the best process for registering non paying attendees or should I set up discount codes? Or is there another way?

My second issue is that with the non-paying guests, staff, etc. the event shows up in Salesforce under "Donations" but they haven't made one. Is there anywhere else in Salesforce that tracks C&P event attendance so that I can track who went to what event without having to marry that information to their donation file?

    Thanks for any help/advice.

Oh and our SF ID# is 00Di0000000cOG6

    Good day!

Are you available to attend one of office hours? We have daily office hour from 3 - 4 p.m. ET. Questions like this are best answered live.

I will attempt to answer it in as much detail as possible.

What you are doing will work. If you want the registrants to register themselves then you may want to create a site that only has the free levels and send that to those that need to register. See this KB article: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...stration-sites

You may set up unlimited number of registration sites for each event. Each site may include any number of available levels.

"Donation" that you are referring to is really "Opportunity" in Salesforce. NPSP has renamed the Opportunity to Donation. We create an opportunity for each transaction including free transactions. So if you register someone for a free event an opportunity will appear in their contact record. Also the Event attendee list will show it as well.

Have you added the Event Attendee related list to the contact layout?

I hope this answers your question.

Please let me know if you need more clarification.

BTW: sorry for the delay in the response- this post was missed in the reply queue.
